Our first trip to the Bearded Pig lived up to our expectations! We were visiting the Jacksonville area for the weekend and were looking for some good BBQ. We arrived around 6:30 PM on Friday night and the place was hopping. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. Despite the length of the line, it moved quickly snd our food came out hot! We ordered a variety of items to share which worked well. The brisket and pulled pork were tender and flavorful. We loved the variety of sauces, too!

Apparently, it's been 6+ years since I've been back at The Bearded Pig and I hadn't realized they moved up the street. I used to work in the area and would come for lunch at the old location all the time. The beef rib is even bigger than I remember and the fries are nice and crispy. I brought my husband with me and we both were very satisfied. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well.

We visited on a Friday evening in Spring of 2026. It was very busy and the staff was totally ready for it. All of the people who served us were very helpful and kind. Thank you! It’s tough to write a review about BBQ in Jacksonville and not be as positive as I’d like to be. We are fortunate to have several excellent options here when it comes to this kind of food. Unfortunately, for me, this BBQ does not hit the mark when it comes to actual meat moisture and flavor. I was able to try some brisket, spare ribs, and a BBQ potato with pulled pork. That particular day, they were all pretty dry and not on par with the reputation enjoyed by this establishment. The baked beans side was different and flavorful. The mac and cheese was fine. On this trip, the only item I really enjoyed was the burnt ends appetizer. I plan to give it another shot at some point during the summer, but I was disappointed on this, my first visit. I hope you, my fellow BBQ lovers, will have a better experience.

This place has great food and a fun atmosphere! The pulled pork, sweet and sour beans, and Mac and cheese were all amazing. I loved how they used 4 different kinds of beans - very unique. They also have a variety of BBQ sauces and the three I tried were great. I also got the mango nojito mocktail which was awesome and not overly sweet. Very well priced and great outdoor patio.

I have eaten BBQ at some of the “top” places across Texas, Kansas City, and the Carolinas. And this place came recommended by some locals as “the best BBQ” in Jacksonville… which always makes me nervous. But for a trendy BBQ joint in downtown Jacksonville, I was VERY impressed. The flavors were excellent. The portions were large. And the price was reasonable. I would say this rivals some of the top BBQ places across the US. It was ALL that good. Because while the meat was great, the sides were equally as impressive. Those baked beans were wickedly good too. I’ve never had anything like it. Great job!
