Dined here on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 PM in the Cooper-Young area. It was just starting to pick up, but since we had a reservation for 7, we were seated immediately. Our waitress, Abby, was fantastic! She appeared to be the only one covering the dining room, yet she handled everything seamlessly and didn’t miss a beat. Service was quick and attentive throughout the evening. The decor is unique and true to the restaurant’s name—Beauty Shop definitely has a distinct vibe. The space is on the smaller side, but still comfortable. The menu is very eclectic, offering a mix of items like curry, tempura shrimp, guacamole, and shiitake mushrooms. Some combinations were a bit unexpected (watermelon served with wings definitely caught me off guard), but overall the food was good—I’d rate it about a 7/10. We did have to send back the fries and fingerling potatoes because they came out cold, but Abby handled it right away with no hesitation and made sure everything was corrected. Overall, it was a solid experience. While the food wasn’t quite enough to make me go out of my way to return, I’m glad I had the chance to try it.

Had Brunch here today! 10/10! Service was great! Atmosphere is amazing and GREAT Playlist during our visit! Food was delicious and very filling! First time dining here, and I'd definitely recommend and would go back! We went for Sunday Brunch, parking was not a problem, there is a paid lot right outside the building and some in our party found free parking across the street. We did have a reservation, glad we did it was very busy. Service was fast and very good!

Feb 14th was our first time visiting. The place was packed. We sat at the bar, our server/bartender. Justin was awesome. He was very hospitable. He was very knowledgeable, very friendly and also accommodating. The wings and watermelon was an excellent choice. The sauce was on point and the watermelon was sweet! When I go back, I will definitely be trying the ribeye. It was awesome. Nothing was needed. My friend made a happy plate. The beauty shop owes me nothing thank you Justin!

Came here to have lunch with friends right after Christmas before I headed out of state. Made a reservation and glad I did b/c it was very busy. Our waitress was very friendly but almost unavailable the entire time. Two different ppl serviced the table before our waitress came. It was long stretches of time between getting drinks and ordering. I’m thinking they may have been short staffed. Anyways everybody ordered what they wanted and when the food arrived we NEVER saw the waitress again. And she was needed b/c I was served something I didn’t order. I ordered the BLTFGTA sandwich with an over easy egg. What arrived was a sandwich but not that! I have no idea what it was. I couldn’t even identify what kind of meat it was all I can say was it was tasty and because I was starving I ate it, but I would’ve been happier if I had received what I ordered. I didn’t complain or search for the waitress because I thought she might’ve come back to the table and I could’ve presented the sandwich that was delivered to me, but she never came back and I kept eating and then the sandwich was gone. I didn’t even mention it to anybody when I paid.

Wow! Brunch did not disappoint! Bacon eggs Benedict and the (lots of letters I don't remember 🙃) BLT with arugula, avocado, fried green tomato - fantastic! Packed half of my sandwich so I could have dessert. The chocolate meringue pie was out of this world with a chocolate base that the rich consistency of fudge. We will definitely be back!!
