I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at The Brown Palace was incredibly disappointing. For a stay that cost nearly $5,000 for four nights, I expected exceptional service and a luxury experience. Unfortunately, the service was anything but. The staff consistently came across as indifferent, unhelpful, and at times downright rude. Basic hospitality seemed to be missing throughout the stay. For the price charged, I expected attention to detail, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. Instead, I felt like just another inconvenience. The hotel certainly has history and charm, but history alone does not justify luxury pricing. When you're paying premium rates, the service should be premium as well—and it simply wasn't. I left feeling that I had paid an outrageous amount of money for an experience that failed to deliver on even the most basic expectations. There are far better hotels in Denver that offer significantly better value, modern amenities, and staff who actually make guests feel welcome. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone expecting a true luxury hotel experience.

Very small room. Staff very friendly, location within walking distance to a variety of places.

Absolutely incredible stay. It was my birthday and they brought up a desert to the room. The staff in the restaurant at breckfast remembered us from our previous stay and stopped over to say hello and brought us Champaign at breakfast. The architecture is beautiful. Ship’s Tavern’s food was excellent. Just all around a wonderful experience. Thank you to all of the team that made it great!

When I showed up they told me I booked a room with two queens and I didn't. The Marriott app showed otherwise. They gave me a room with a king bed but I'm pretty sure it was a standard room and not the one I booked. The air conditioning doesn't work that well. Thankfully there is a fan and it wasn't extremely warm during my stay. They also start playing music at 7 am in the lobby that I could hear in my room while taking a shower. I've yet to receive any credit for nights stayed. 👎👎

Prime downtown Denver, Colorado location. A touch of history and mystery at the Brown Palace. Built in 1892 this hotel does not skip on charm and intricate decor. Be sure to don your favorite hat and have afternoon tea in the lobby or kick back after a long day in the Tavern. Enjoy!

Interesting hotel from a historical standpoint, but poor execution from staff. I was put on the 8th floor which is generally fine—until you get off the elevator and realize there is no sign telling you which direction to go to get to your room number. There are 3 separate hallways to choose from and the room numbers are not linear so you can wander quite a bit. Especially when you are given room 851 which is on the farthest end of the hotel. You would think this is the end of it and the only a minor issue. Then you realize that the valet ticket they gave you has the QR code to scan blanked out and you have to call a valet number from the phone. All good and well until the phone in your room doesn’t work so you can’t have the car staged and ready to go; instead having to go to the first floor to get them to pull it which takes more time. Finally they didn’t even bother to put in a bottle for bodywash/soap nor even a bar of soap. Of course something you don’t bother to check until you’re in the shower and realize it wasn’t there. Front desk offered me points for the inconvenience, which has not been applied and I have not even received credit for my stay in the Bonvoy app yet and it was over 10 days ago. Don’t worry, they made sure to charge in full. Not staying here again and very disappointed in the hotel

Lovely historic hotel — needs more room renovations, but the public areas are cozy and very enjoyable.
