The Darcy is a great hotel! The location is excellent, easy to walk or metro anywhere. It's super cute inside. Staff are extremely helpful. We loved it! I would highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights the week of May 3rd. I agree with some of the reviews, especially about the restroom (pretty small) , the cold water in the bathroom sink is not available. Thus the reason for the hotel giving water 💦 bottles. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, as we have stayed in this kind of hotels, 4 star. We made the mistake of ordering room service the first morning, and for an avocado/egg sandwich plus an orange 🍊 and a muffin we were charged the amount of $50.42 (photo of the receipt). Nothing is near the hotel, especially coffee/breakfast shops. A minimum of 15 walk to 14th street. Not a good experience for us, there are plenty of hotels nearby. Oh whoever did the really dark green in the hallways , where the rooms are located, didn’t know what he/she was doing. Much nicer color is if you go to the restrooms underneath the lobby. Here is a photo of the receipt we got for our expensive breakfast.

Pretty decent hotel located near a bunch of embassies. About a $25 cab ride from DCA. There are restaurants, a Whole Foods, and bars nearby. About a 10 minute walk to DuPont Circle Metro and 15 minutes to McPherson Square Metro. The room size was great. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is a little small, but had nice toiletries. The robe could use a little fabric softener, but happy it was in the room. I love that there was a full-sized ironing board with iron and a refrigerator. The desk area needed to be dusted a bit, but stocked with coffee, teas, and glassware. Bottled water was provided which was a huge plus. I didn’t take a picture of the lobby, but it’s as pictured on the website. Staff were very professional and welcoming. I would stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted at the car with a friendly smile & assisted with our luggage to the front desk for check in where our bellman promptly handed us cold bottled water. Check in was a breeze & friendly service. Our room was clean & staff kept us with fresh towels & made beds daily. Location was perfect we walked or scootered to most spots, catching an occasional uber for further away areas. Fun & free unlimited happy hour drinks in the lobby were a nice surprise. We played checkers in the lobby & chatted with other guests. We grabbed convenient appetizers at Gerrard’s in the hotel restaurant & even ordered room service one night pizza & salad all delicious! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the DC area. Great job Matisse, Desou, Mairely & DJ for your wonderful hospitality

I recently stayed two nights at the The Darcy Hotel while attending a conference that was being held in one of the hotel’s ballrooms, and my experience was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel has a great boutique feel with a cool, stylish atmosphere that makes it stand out from the typical business travel hotels. Everything about the stay was excellent, from the food served during the conference to the professionalism and friendliness of the servers and staff throughout the property. What really impressed me, however, was how the hotel handled an unexpected situation after I had already checked out. When I arrived at the airport and boarded my flight home, the captain announced that we might have to return to the gate due to a power outage affecting air traffic control. Thinking I would likely be stuck in Washington, I quickly called the hotel and booked another night. Fortunately, we ended up departing after all and I was able to get home. By that point my reservation was already within the window where it technically could not be canceled. I called the hotel anyway and spoke with a wonderful staff member named Kayla. She completely understood my situation and, even though she had no obligation to do so, she canceled the reservation and issued a full refund. That level of service and understanding says a lot about the people running this hotel. From the moment I arrived to well after checkout, I felt genuinely taken care of. One of the best business travel hotel experiences I’ve had in quite some time. Highly recommend.
