  The Esquire Tavern is a historic River Walk bar with a moody, vintage atmosphere and expertly crafted cocktails. The long wooden bar and dim lighting create a timeless feel. The food menu is surprisingly strong, especially the burgers and bar bites. A great spot for drinks, history, and a lively yet classic night out.

  I was very disappointed with my experience at your bar. My group and I felt that we were racially profiled based on how we were treated. We were singled out and treated differently than other customers, which made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of their race or background. I hope you will look into this matter and ensure that all customers receive equal treatment in the future. From the jump when we walked in,at the bar to making us move from a table outside were no one was setting . Maybe cause we looked young maybe cause we were Hispanic who knows. NEVER AGAIN !! We like going to place we’re there are older crowds so there’s no trouble and we get treated this way . And lastly your waiter (white lady ) was out of line ! She needs to treat people better or maybe if I was (white) she would have ?

  This place is amazing! The food was excellent, get the quail legs and the French dip! It’s a must!!! Also look for Daniel behind the bar, he is so fun and will take excellent care of you. Hands down the best spot in San Antonio!
