If you’re traveling through New Orleans stop into The Original Pierre Maspero’s. Service was wonderful. We had the most friendly waitress! Food is excellent. The Cajun sampler would be my number one recommendation. That way you get a taste of everything that is truly New Orleans. Fried shrimp were a satisfying treat. There may be fried shrimp dancing in my dreams at this point.

What a great discovery! How often can you dine at a restaurant established in 1788? That salad is a fried green tomato with gulf shrimp remoulade. Absolutely delicious. Are meals consisted of their famous crescent City sampler, consisting of a sample of crawfish etouffee, Cajun jambalaya, red beans and rice, chicken and andouille gumbo. Wow! Traditional French onion soup with crouton was unforgettable. Lastly, we finish off with a Cajun bloody Mary and the one and only Pierre old fashioned with old Forester bourbon and angostura bitters, Orange and Cherry, with simple syrup. Very very good drinks. Highly recommend this place. Full of nostalgia and great people watching on the streets.

right in the heart of the french quarter and we walked into this restaurant to grab some lunch. we ordered the shrimp po boy and the cheeseburger. the po boy was absolutely delicious. crispy moist shrimp and crispy fries. the burger was probably the best burger i’ve ever had. super moist and juicy. our server wasn’t really checking in on us but he was friendly when first taking our order. we recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We went back twice it was so good. Loved how they have 2 menu’s. One is an all day breakfast and the other their main menu. Staff were FANTASTIC I loved them all. Very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. I had the french onion soup. The best I’ve ever had. It’s just located across from the Napoleon house. If the time difference hasn’t caught up with you yet and you’re still in breakfast mode at lunchtime you can get one here. The omelette, eggs benedict, po po shrimp and key lime pie was all delicious. I highly recommend a visit.

INCREDIBLE, HISTORIC building. Built in 1788!⚜️💜💛💜💛⚜️ Very welcoming. Quick service. Most of the servers move lightning fast. They truly hustle! 🏃🏿♀️🏃🏾♀️🥰 Food is hot and freshly made with fresh ingredients. 🍄🟫🧅 MS. SANDRA was our server on Christmas Day and she was terrific!🥰💜🤗 I ordered the French onion soup, blackened fish with spinach + grits. My husband got the gumbo, and étouffée. Everything was delicious. I decided to try the bread pudding (with the caramel sauce on the side). That was very disappointing. The bread pudding was barely warm and the side of caramel sauce was in a tiny condiment cup that had unmelted butter on top of it. Ick. I took one bite of the bread pudding and was very disappointed so I didn’t eat it. Ms. Sandra immediately noticed that I did not eat it and was kind enough to take it off our bill.☺️ The manager, Nairobi, came by our table to ask us if everything was okay and we told him it was great. UPDATE: 12/26/25 We went back for lunch. I ordered the muffaletta sandwich and it comes with fries. It’s definitely enough food for 2 people. If you want a light lunch, it’s enough food for 4 people! Fries were very hot and super crispy! 😋 My husband had the shrimp Poboy which also comes with fries. Both meals were delicious. Service was great, again. They were working hard and fast.
