Loved this place! The staff, atmosphere, & German food were all amazing! We will be back, when in town again! Thanks to Jennifer for her hospitality and the different samplings of beer for hubby to try! 😃 P.S. The lunch prices were VERY reasonable.

Wow! Never been here before but came for St. Patrick's Day. Firstly I made the reservation for 2, then changed it to 3, and they still had 2 written down, (website error) they were able to fix the situation in like 1 minute. Then our server was amazing. She gave us a sample of the Sauerbraten. Oh my goodness. It was like roast with a butternut squash tasting sauce. My dad got it as his meal. I got the shrimp scampi, best I've ever had, and my love got the schnitzel. All was amazing, and good portions for the price. I was extremely impressed by the food and the service.

I enjoyed a late lunch here one day, and I found it to be quite nice. The historic building makes for a nice, traditional German atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and I was able to sit down in the bar area right away. I got the sauerbraten, a dish I hadn’t tried before, and I found the food to be delicious. The slightly sour sauce was novel to me, but it was tasty with the beef. It made for a very hearty lunch. German restaurants aren’t common where I’m from, so this made for a fun meal. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant if you’re looking for a good meal.

The food is phenomenal! Stuffed mushrooms were the first thing I ate and they were so good. Our waitress was funny and really cool. The atmosphere was warm, fun German music playing in the backgrounds and but not loudly. Decor was spot on.

Rathskeller has an older feel to it—dated, but still charming in some ways. The ambiance is actually pretty nice and cozy, especially if you’re going for a relaxed evening. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. I ordered the pesto pasta and couldn’t even finish a quarter of the plate—it was that bad. My husband ordered the rouladen, which was a bit dry, but at least it was still edible compared to the pasta. The bathrooms could really use a makeover, which added to the overall dated impression. On a positive note, they do have a good selection of beers, which might be the highlight of the visit. ⭐️ Overall: Nice ambiance and solid beer selection, but the food quality didn’t match the atmosphere. With some updates and better execution in the kitchen, this place could be much better.
