I strongly do not recommend this location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The manager is consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional toward both customers and staff, creating a very negative environment. There has been numerous occasions where I have walked in there during my lunch to order and the manager is speaking to the staff disrespectfully or either the customers. Im not sure if she is a manager but based off of her appearance and the difference in uniform I’d assume so. But clearly uniform makes no difference because she is highly unprofessional and definitely not fit to be in a management role. Service is poorly handled, and customer concerns are not taken seriously. The smoothies are also frequently made incorrectly, often coming out icy and poorly blended instead of smooth. The store itself appears disorganized and unclean at times, with an unpleasant odor coming from the prep area. Overall, the lack of professionalism from management, inconsistent product quality, and poor cleanliness make this location unacceptable. I would avoid it.

I truly enjoy Tropical Smoothie and stopped there for lunch today. I had the worst experience! I ordered a pair with a smoothie and toasted rolls. The young staff member assisting me initially entered the order incorrectly and needed assistance from the lead staff member, who I assumed was a supervisor based on her different colored shirt. Unfortunately, the interaction that followed was very uncomfortable. The supervisor spoke very harshly to the young employee in front of customers, telling him to just make the order and that she would fix it. He appeared nervous and intimidated by her approach. A few minutes later, she assisted me directly. I attempted to explain that the pricing in the app appeared different from what I was being charged in-store. Rather than addressing the concern professionally, she spoke to me in a very blunt and rude manner. What bothered me most was that she then told me to “calm down,” despite the fact that I remained calm throughout the interaction while she maintained an aggressive and assertive tone the entire time. This is actually my second negative encounter with this same employee. Overall, the experience was disappointing and unprofessional. I left the store and do not plan to return to this location. I encourage you all to make adjustments to retain customers. I left and went to Jersey Mike’s and had the opposite experience.

No greeting when walking in. No communication as far as Ill be wih you shortly. Just had me waiting at cash register for 3=5 minutes before saying anything. Then waited 5 minutes for my smoothie to be made. There was no one else in the store when I came in

Never giving this place my time and money ever again. I was on a time crunch which is my own problem. But there was one poor worker in there with zero help. I waited in line for over 10 mins with zero moment in the line and no one even coming to the register to greet the person waiting to be serviced before me. It looked like the worker was getting the online orders situated. I had to end up leaving and ordering my meal for delivery which unfortunately was absolutely wrong. If there was anyone else working besides the one they never showed themselves. I feel terrible for him being alone and having to handle the load if that was indeed the case but perhaps close for the day if your so short staffed vs losing customers.

I placed a mobile order and waited for almost 10 minutes for one of the two people behind the counter to even acknowledge that me and another lady who hadn’t even placed her order yet but she had gotten there before me were even there. they had their backs turned to us The whole time didn’t even greet us to say hello or I’ll be there in one second. and my mobile order was ready the whole time I could see it behind the counter, but I couldn’t get either one of them to pay me any attention to get it.

Food is always wrong or not acceptable. There is always a wait for sub par food and a chunky smoothie. I will never visit this location, the Gastonia one is always much much better and worth the extra drive.
