We brought an out-of-town family member to Uchi Dallas for a special dinner, and it absolutely delivered. We started with the Brussels sprouts, Hama chili, and beet dish. The beets were a pleasant surprise and a great way to start the meal. We chose the Omakase and Somakase experiences because they introduce us to dishes we likely wouldn’t order ourselves, and that decision paid off. The lobster dish was exceptional, with just the right hint of spice. I’ve never been a huge lobster fan, but it ended up being one of my favorite dishes of the night. The biggest surprise was an oyster with strawberry. It sounds unusual, but it worked beautifully. The combination created one of those rare moments where you just stop and appreciate how many different flavors are happening at once. Another favorite was the Kinoko Nabe, where the crispy rice paired perfectly with the beef and mushroom flavors. The service was outstanding. Every dish was explained, and the staff did an excellent job accommodating gluten, sesame, and nut allergies within our party, making sure everyone knew what was safe to eat. We were definitely full by the end, but still couldn’t pass up dessert. The tapioca pudding was light and refreshing, the fried milk was fantastic, and the ube sundae was a perfect finish. Uchi is definitely a splurge, especially if you go the Omakase route, but it’s exactly the kind of place worth visiting for a special occasion. Outstanding food, beautiful presentation, exceptional service, and an experience we’ll be talking about for a long time.

We enjoyed a birthday dinner with an Omakase experience and some sake. It was truly one of the best experiences we've had! We sampled both cold and hot dishes, exploring a variety of textures, flavors, and pairings. It was fantastic. The staff was very helpful in selecting sake and guiding us through the experience. We're excited to return!

We did the vegetarian Omakase tasting meal. Abbie was our server and she was awesome. She customized our dinner to what we wanted. Each dish was really good. But avocado nigiri and crispy tofu makimano were my favorites. We sat in the patio and the ambience was very good. It was quieter and felt more cozier. We highly recommend this place and it was fun to celebrate birthday and anniversary there.

Our new favorite restaurant! Every single dish we tried was a 10/10—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really tell the quality of the seafood and the care that goes into each plate. The service made the experience even better. It was fast, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Our server, Autumn, was incredible—so kind, attentive, and extremely helpful when it came to choosing dishes. She took the time to walk us through the menu and helped us pick some amazing options that we absolutely loved. From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be coming back, and we highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great sushi and seafood. This place truly did not disappoint!

The best sushi spot in Dallas hands down. (Excluding omakase restaurants). The food is amazing - yellow tail hamachili is a must, all the sushi was great - scallops and wagyu are special, and finally the fried milk desert. (I know sounds weird - but trust me on that one!) service is great and ambience is very nice.
