Stopped by Vespaio near The Broad in DTLA. The space is really nice and the service was solid. Food was decent—nothing bad, just not super flavorful. Overall, a good, convenient spot if you’re already in the area hitting the museums or theaters, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way for.

Lunch at Vespaio was an outstanding experience from start to finish. After a morning at the BROAD. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between relaxed atmosphere and refined dining. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed or overly formal. The staff clearly knew the menu well and made thoughtful recommendations. The food was exceptional. Every dish was prepared with care and beautifully presented. The ingredients tasted fresh and vibrant, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. It’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in both quality and consistency. Each course arrived at the right pace, allowing us to enjoy the meal and conversation. What truly stood out was how seamless the entire evening felt. Great service paired with excellent food created a memorable experience. Vespaio is the kind of place you look forward to returning to, knowing the experience will be just as enjoyable next time.

Great Italian option and perfectly for pre-show as it's waking distance to the Broad, Ahmanson, and the Disney music Hall. They have an extensive wine list. An Italian nebiolo pairs perfectly with their Seafood stew. The stew has an healthy amount of fish, shrimp, and langoustine. We also had the braised rib, and it was rich and tender. Will definitely go back again to try other dishes. As for dessert, the tiramisu is not a stand out.

I stopped in alone before a concert at the walt Disney music center. They didn't make me feel at all awkward for being alone..some places do. They sat me where I was comfortable and the waitress was very helpful and kind about recommending dishes. They also didn't make me feel awkward for not ordering a main dish. I wasn't that hungry so I had the octopus appetizer. She suggested it because it was almost like a meal, with potatoes and green beans. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the octopus. My mom used to fix it when I was little but I'd never try it. I recommend it. I had a glass of wine with it. I then had coffee with an apple cake type of dessert with vanilla ice cream which was really good too.. the atmosphere was lively with lots of folks dressed up to go to the concert too. Nice evening out.
