We visited Water Grill while on a recent visit to LA. We were told the food was good but the real TREASURE at Water Grill (the food WAS great ) was the service. In particular Flavio. Being served and taken care of by Flavio was like taking a step back in time when EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE was an art form. What a beautiful experience!

Went to Water Grill downtown the other night and had a really nice dinner. The oysters were fresh and tasted clean, exactly how they should. I got the grilled black cod and it came out perfect — flaky, nicely seasoned, nothing overdone. The place has a calm, slightly upscale feel without being stiff, and the service was friendly and relaxed. Just a solid, enjoyable meal. Left happy.

Amazing food! The Rosewood Chilean sea bass is the best, crisp on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The atmosphere was quite relaxed and welcoming and the service was excellent. Definitely want to come back!

For our anniversary dinner, we dined at The Water Grill and had a wonderful experience. We got the Spanish Octopus, Whole Sea Bass, Cioppino and Polenta. All the dishes were delicious and just perfect. We paired it with a bottle of Stag’s Leap. We were also given a complimentary dessert. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions.

We ordered the king size seafood tower, chilean sea bass and lobster roll sandwich, and I would say seafood tower was the best!!! The presentation of seafood tower was stunning, and while some items in the tower were standard, the oysters and lobster were absolute top-tier quality!! Complimentary bread was so good. Crunchy on the outside and warm and soft inside. For the entrée, the Sea Bass was a pleasant surprise. The sauce was amazing and really elevated the dish. We also tried the Lobster Roll, and while both the bread and lobster were cooked well individually, they didn’t quite blend together perfectly. The atmosphere feels very high-end and upscale, though it’s definitely more energetic than quiet. The servers were friendly, even if the service wasn't the fastest. Overall, worth it for the seafood tower!

My husband and I decided on dinner at the Water Grill for our anniversary. Once seated at our table we noticed an anniversary card waiting for us. It was signed by some of the staff. I thought that was a very nice gesture. We started with drinks and bread (The Visionary & Margarita Verde). Both were good but The Visionary was better. Next, we enjoyed the oyster sampler along with Peruvian scallops. I LOVE oysters and they all seemed fresh. For our main dishes, husband ordered salmon and I ordered cioppino. We both really enjoyed our food. It was just enough for us. We both finished our meals but were not over stuffed. Service was great from start to finish. We had a great anniversary dinner. Thank you to the staff and manager for making our night special.

Lovely restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. We were looking for a seafood restaurant and this was within walking distance from our hotel. Loved the atmosphere and service. The seafood was delicious from the oysters to the sushi. Everything was super fresh and very well prepared. The server did an amazing job of walking us through the menu. Would definitely come back.
