⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Willa Jean Willa Jean was the perfect welcome to New Orleans—comfort food, warmth, and hospitality all wrapped into one unforgettable meal. The ambiance feels like you’re sitting at home with family, surrounded by the smell of fresh baked treats drifting from the kitchen. Our large group was greeted with genuine kindness, and the staff made sure everyone felt taken care of. I ordered the chicken and waffles, the hangover bowl with a side of brisket, and some fresh orange juice. The chicken and waffles were a standout twist on a Southern classic: a sweet potato waffle topped with rum sauce, spiced pecans, and marshmallows. It sounds bold, but every flavor worked together beautifully—familiar, comforting, and still completely unique. The hangover bowl was everything I love in one dish. The short rib was tender and seasoned the way my grandmother used to make it, paired with caramelized onions, roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, and all of it nestled into creamy, cheesy grits. This bowl was hearty, rich, and downright delicious. Honestly, it should come with a nap afterward. Before we even sat down, I was told Willa Jean is known for its biscuits, and now I understand why. They’re fluffy in the middle, golden on the outside, and absolutely worth the hype. If you’re in New Orleans and want to experience where flavor and hospitality meet, Willa Jean is a must. Whenever I return to the city, this will be a stop I come back to without hesitation.

The food at Willa Jean is to die for! I was already in the area, so I decided to try this place out. The inside looked really nice. Because I was trying to eat healthy at the time, I ordered their Grain Bowl ($16.00) which consists of quinoa, edamame, lima beans, cherry tomato, mushrooms, roasted carrot, roasted poblano, almond, & poached egg. I also got their Chia Pudding ($7.00) which consists of chia seed & orange and coconut puree. Everything was so flavorful and delicious! The grain bowl was seasoned perfectly, and the chia pudding had a nice mix of tartness and creaminess. The only downside was that I felt a little rushed by my server. He was polite but wasn't too outreaching. Also, they do add a 3% admin fee so just be aware of that. Theres only street and garage parking for the restaurant. Aside from that, I'd say Willa Jean was worth the stop food wise!

I recently visited Willa Jean during a trip to NOLA and I’m so glad I did! First, I loved the contemporary aesthetic - the space is bright, open, and has such a curated, inviting vibe that makes you want to stay a while. The menu offered a nice variety for brunch, but the standout for me was the Chicken & Waffles. That sweet potato waffle with the toasted marshmallow is an absolute game-changer—absolutely delicious, not overly sweet, and perfectly complemented by the rum sauce. I also sampled the Hangover Bowl, which was incredibly hearty and the ultimate comfort food. Even though I didn't grab anything from the bakery counter this time, the display was adorable and everything looked artisanal and fresh. It’s the perfect spot for a stylish yet relaxed meal in New Orleans. I'll definitely be back for a biscuit next time!

Had a breakfast here and let's start out that the pastries That were very nice. We had eggs at our table of all kinds. Abby our server made some suggestions for us and I went with the Crawfish Omelet that she suggested but subbed the potatos out for thier biscuit... I tasted the potatoes they were also delicious but the biscuit was the best I had all week in New Orleans! The Crawfish Omelet was filled with Crawfish Mozzarella and spices. It was a nice omelet smaller in size than the others I had this week but good. My friend had the veggie omelet but be sure to like Mushrooms as it is filled with mushrooms. Loud and large space Abby was great and kept us feed well.

Cute brunch restaurant! It’s was really busy on a Saturday morning but the 30 minute wait went pretty quickly while walking around the area. I got the fried chicken biscuit and it was so good! The fried chicken was amazing but wish it was a bit spicier and had less honey and the biscuit was good but not the best I’ve had in New Orleans.
