The Quad might be the cutest little corner of Dallas, and Written by the Seasons is the anchor spot. The concept alone is dangerous. It’s seasonal ingredients, Michelin recognized credibility, the vibe is beautiful and the menu came from someone who threw a passport into a farmers market. We ordered the avocado and shrimp salad, tuna tartare, kimchi pancakes, salt cod fritters, and the build your own muhammara pizza. The tuna tartare was bright and fresh, paired with grapefruit, the shrimp salad was basically summer in a bowl, and you can add anything, fruit, veggie or whatever to this dressing. Matter of fact, bottle this dressing. Forget retirement accounts and gold investments. I want shares in that herb mixture. The fact that a restaurant can serve kimchi pancakes and salt cod fritters on the same menu without causing an identity crisis deserves respect. Shout out to Bailey, AD and Sophia. Excellent and memorable meal!

Our experience at Written by the Seasons was simply the culinary highlight of our trip to Dallas. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. We started with the kimchi pancake, which was absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside, flavorful, and incredibly well-balanced. It was already a great sign of what was to come. But the real star of the night was the New York Strip that my wife ordered. It was, without exaggeration, one of the best steaks we’ve had in a long time—perfectly cooked, extremely tender, and packed with flavor. Truly outstanding. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. The space is beautiful, modern, and very inviting, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. It strikes a great balance between being upscale and still feeling comfortable and relaxed. Service was excellent throughout the evening—attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. Everything flowed smoothly, and you can tell the team takes pride in what they do. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. Exceptional food, great ambiance, and top-notch service. I would highly recommend Written by the Seasons to anyone visiting Dallas—it’s an absolute must.

The dessert almost brought me to tears it was so good. Loved their squash focaccia and coconut braised carrots but the vanilla Cashew Crème was the best. The service was top class!!! Definitely bringing the wife on a date to this location.

Wonderful spot for our anniversary dinner! We had the carrot muhammara to start and scallops and duck confit for the mains. Everything was not only cooked perfectly, but seasoned so well. I will be dreaming about those scallops! Paola helped us and was wonderful and attentive all night long, and had great recommendations for appetizers and wine pairings. We had a wonderful time.

Second time at this place and it is delicious. They are able to transform what seemingly sounds like a simple salad into something delicious and layered in flavor. It's been a couple of months since we were there last time, so I don't remember the dishes we had, look at the pictures, but it was delicious. The salad was outstanding, I think my wife had the duck confit and I had a seafood soup. The service is really good, the place is relatively small so the tables are very close to each other and therefore, a little loud, but go and enjoy the food!
