My fiancé and I were in search of a date night restaurant and came across Yukka. We love going to the Riverdale area, so we figured, why not? The place itself is lively, inviting, and spacious. I really enjoyed the music they were playing. For drinks, we had an Aperol Spritz and a Cabernet. We were very happy with both, the Aperol Spritz was made perfectly. As an appetizer, we ordered the calamari. It was delicious: perfectly crunchy with no chewiness, and the accompanying aioli was perfection. The only thing is that I thought it was supposed to come with popcorn shrimp as well, but it didn't. For my entrée, I got the ropa vieja. It was very flavorful and came in the cutest Le Creuset pot. The rice and beans complemented it perfectly. My fiancé got the fish of the day, which was definitely a wow dish he loved it. The service was lovely as well. Our waitress checked in just enough, allowing us to really enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed. Price-wise, I felt it was very reasonable. Our bill came to about $150, including tip. I would definitely return and recommend this place if you're looking for a nice dinner spot that's not too casual but not overly fancy either, perfect for celebrating a special occasion or getting together with loved ones. I'm also curious about Arnaud's next door which seems to be a sister restaurant!

Delicious food and drink at a reasonable price. Stellar service and dining experience. I absolutely love this place. I drove 1hr and 30min to dine here. So worth it!

My date suggested this restaurant after our original reservations at another spot failed to serve us. Very happy we made this adjustment. Very friendly staff and waitress who sat us. Their calamari was crispy and cooked right for the appetizer. My date got the Seafood Paella while I got the pan roasted chicken. We were stunned with the flavors and amount of food for both dishes. Definitely hit the spot and highly recommend to try this restaurant in the Bronx!

This restaurant is local to me. Been there a couple of times and loved everything every time. The food is good and drinks are consistent 10/10

First off, the tables are way too close to each other and not to mention, the tables are small, like bartop tables, which inly holds drinks. The prices here are ridiculous but I guess that's the price you pay for gentrified Dominican food. We ordered empanadas which were basically cut in half and tasted okay. The oil tasted more than anything. We ordered shrimp and tostones which was $32 for 5 jumbo shrimp In a bland butter sauce and a handful of tostones. I regretted going to this spot because the food is bland, expensive and lacks flavor and creativity. The service was lacking as well, barely came to check on us. Really just wanted to eat quickly and get this terrible dining experience over with. It was just a chore trying to balance the food on the table in addition to feeling like you were intruding on ghe other table's personal space.
