Incredibly nice staff. Fun exhibits. It is a smaller zoo compared to others I have visited, but it still has some great encounters and plenty of space for their animals. It's not a must visit in the city, but you won't have a bad time if you like zoos.

We had a great time at the Atlanta Zoo! My wife, daughter, and I all really enjoyed the visit. The animals were active and fun to watch, which made the experience even better. Everything was smooth and easy from the moment we arrived, including getting in without any hassle. We especially love having a membership—it makes it so convenient to come back and enjoy the zoo whenever we want. Definitely a place we’ll keep visiting!

I've lived in Atlanta my entire life. I've been to the zoo plenty but now that I have kids, I love the zoo even more. There's a lot for the kids to do. My daughter played on the little playground by the naked mole rats for a while. My daughter loves carousels and train rides so I didn't even hesitate and purchased the unlimited ride wristband. We rode the carousel 4 times and the train 2 times. Well worth the money. We probably would have done more if we had more time. Next time, I'm going to start our day on the end of the zoo rather than ending our day there. My daughter is too young to do the other treetop activities but they did look fun. I did not pack her swimsuit to play in the little splash pad but that entire area is wonderful and we easily could have spent half the day just in that area. I LOVED that they had toddler friendly height toilets in the bathroom. It's the little things. I did not use any of the nursing stations but was happy to see them available. Will definitely be back to the zoo again sometime soon. PS If you ride the train, ride the caboose because you face backwards and my daughter loved it!

Walkable. Nice exhibits with a wide range of creatures but not so big that it's overwhelming. They have nice play places for the littles to burn off some energy and plenty of parking. Just make sure to pay before entering and be aware that depending on the time of year that you visit some or most of the snack, drink and food locations may be closed. If you just want water there are water fountains and water bottle filling stations throughout the park but during the colder months the only one available may be in the indoor elephant viewing enclosure. Plan ahead and enjoy!

A very cute and pleasant zoo. It takes about 2 hours to visit, which is perfect timing, especially with kids. We were especially happy to see a red panda — this is quite rare for zoos, and it was a real highlight of our visit. The animals look well cared for, and the entire area is clean and well maintained, with neat and comfortable walking paths. A special mention goes to the restrooms — warm and clean, which is very important during colder weather and when visiting with children. A real wow factor is the decorations. They are clearly new and recently installed — very beautiful, bright, and unusual. We saw many decorations that will obviously look stunning after sunset when they light up. Unfortunately, we visited during the daytime and didn’t get to see them illuminated, but we will definitely come back in the evening to experience the zoo at night. We were also lucky to see a pregnant elephant — it looks like the zoo will be welcoming a new baby very soon, which was incredibly touching to witness. The ticket price was a pleasant surprise — very affordable for such a well-maintained, thoughtfully designed place. Unfortunately, there is also a downside: some of the new decorations have already been damaged by visitors. This is especially sad, as it’s obvious everything was built recently and with great care. Please be respectful — places like this are created for everyone’s enjoyment. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this zoo — both during the day and especially in the evening 🌿🦒
